Overall, this is a quick, easy read and I really liked the setting as well as the storyline.Genres: Historical Romance, Western Romance Considering other reviews I have read, I can concede that there is a pattern in the characterization in how their vitually the same in personality excluding their names, features, etc. However, I really enjoyed how Lucas's master plan worked out and how charming and seductive his character was. I guess I saw it all playing out differently. And although the twist at the end made sense, I wasn't crazy about it either. I wasn't sure I liked the turning point where Sharrise seemed to be attracted to (perhaps falling for) Slade, the deliciously dangerous twin. I noted how much of an easy read the book was and that I could breeze through it, but nonetheless I took my time to enjoy the story. From the first page, it grabbed my attention. In actuality Lucas Holt just needs any wife as a cover for his real intentions: revenge on the man who wronged him. The moment Sharrise steps off the train, Lucas secretly burns for the copper haired beauty. Sharrise decides to take her sisters place and runs off to Arizona, biding her time until her sister and her betrothed can find a way to work things out and be together. Hammond outrightly objects to changing the previous arrangement. Sharrise and her conspire to work with each other after the stubborn Mr.

I really like the sexy cover of the original published book depicting the smoldering, dark tanned (not to mention nude) Lucas Holt passionately clinging to Sharisse Hammond.
